The Superstar is a basketball shoe manufactured by athletic goods company Adidas since 1969, released as a low top version of the Pro Model basketball shoe. It got it's nickname "shelltoe" Adidas from their rubber shell top piece....





They became most popular when the trendy hip-hop group "Run-DMC" made them theirs. they even made a hit song titled "My Adidas". After that the Adidas Superstars where hard to even keep on the selfs
